Jake Loggins
Jake is a true natural at what he does, and the way that he entertains. His flavor of music is absolutely derived from blues, and that's pretty much where it stays. Jake has always answered this question the same when anyone has asked him, "Jake who is your major influence..". His answer, "My dad, Lobo Loggins he's a montser, I have always loved the way he says what he has to say on the guitar. I have listened to my dad, I literally believe, since I was born, and it never gets old to me." Jake has been an avid member of his musical community and is always willing to give back to the people that have given him such a warm reception. He also has a great deal of fun just playing with his band, for any good ol' reason. "Jake Loggins never has rehearsed in his life. The local blues guitarist never has set foot in a studio. He writes music on the fly, on stage, wherever he might be performing. Yet Loggins, 24, doesn't find the need to hold down a day job. He makes his living solely from singing and playing music. Part of his success, he claims, comes from his community and his family." Slice~2006 Best Musician 2010 "I'm surprised people even remember our name, much less vote for us," says Jake Loggins. Of course, he shouldn't be. As a teenage blues-rock prodigy, Loggins quickly established himself as a mainstay of the local music scene. Now in his mid-20s, the Jake Loggins Band leader remains a steady draw, gigging twice weekly or more in downtown clubs, with no sign of slowing down. Where he sees himself in five years: "Down the street waiting for y'all to pull up a chair, order something nice for yourself, and let me and my boys play some good vibes and brokenhearted blues for you." — BF |
